For the FE agents (personal production) who are doing a MINIMUM of 10k in AP a month for at least the last 6mos....what are your avg lead cost per month & what type of leads are u getting? This will help me greatly in taking my biz to the next level, thx.

I can't really say what my numbers are as I handle it differently but the agents I know that consistantly write $10,000 ap per month also consistantly get 15 to 20 leads per week.

Most use DM leads and spend about $500 per week for mailers. Many more are using teleleads now either exclusively or a mix of teleleads and DM leads. Teleleads will cost $20-22 each..

The key, from what I see, is being consistant with getting leads. They spend $1600 to $2000 per month on leads.

In 2013 my total ap for the year was $127,000. That's an average of about 10k a month.

Ap: 127k/year

Lead cost: $22,300/year

Lead type: Direct mail mixed with a few TV

Average leads per month: about 60

Though my average was 10k monthly for 2013 I still wasn't consistently over 10k every month. In DEC I only had 2k in ap.

Not quite at 10k... avg $7.500-$8,000 a month, I work 60-75 leads a month,,I spend roughly $1,500 a month

I was right at 100k total between my top 3 carriers.

I spent 2k per month. I pay 450/ thousand pieces mailed. I don't remail same area within 8-9 months. I travel a lot.

I mail twice a month and only use DM.

I wrote about 240 apps last year. I took about 700 or so leads.

My average would be about 3 to 4 apps per 10 leads. I would take about 15 leads a week and usually have 5 apps to send out when I was done.

The average premium per app would be in the $44 to $46 range.

Thanks!! There are plenty of agents that do way better than I do though. In my group I was 6th in personal production. My #1 agent wrote 189k in 2013.

I don't do anything different! Same stuff you read on here for the most part. Consistent leads and working as much as I can. I don't really get caught up on people that don't buy. I just move to the next lead.

If I did better follow ups I bet I could increase my sales and my ratios.

That's something I could definitely do different!!! I need some of that monkey dust I hear so much about!
