AETNA EXITING 2,618 MAPD PLANS IN 2025 ACROSS THE COUNTRY - DAMN

Just received notice today that Aetna will be exiting over 2,600 plans across the country for 2025. The list is massive. As of Monday we will no longer be able to enroll anyone into these exiting plans on Sunfire or Connecture. Paper applications or Think Agent can still be used, but you would have to re-write them to a new plan in 2025. I have been notified that Aetna will not crosswalk anyone, they will have to be re-written or you can use Guaranteed issue to get them into a Med Supp.
Lot of work for AEP !
If you asked me for a specific state(s) I have emailed all of those out as of this morning

The increase in government subsidies for 2025 is not keeping pace with medical inflation. MAPD profits are shrinking. I would expect to see more of this in the future.

The tax payer funded gravy train of corporate profits is starting to run dry.

There are 119 exiting in Illinois. Keep in mind that the list has every county listed separately. No plans from Cook county are on the list.
Thank God....that would've been a headache-and-a-half. I figured they would leave Cook alone, as that's Chicago's county. Would've been a nightmare moving these people. DuPage, Will, and Lake Counties are also our big counties around here. But most of these Cook County Medicare Advantage plans have those counties attached to them anyway, with Cook County being the main one/anchor. I really appreciate this!

You are very welcome. We all need time to prepare when something like this happens. Just glad my NMA gave me the heads up today.
