AHIP is terrible this year.

I didn't do AHIP for 2025, and now I'm regretting it. I figured that I would just help them enroll over the phone for PDP. What a nightmare...over an hour! It would be much quicker to enroll them as an agent.....even though I don't get paid.

Why is it taking an hour? Just go to the Medicare website and do the enrollment there. Literally takes two minutes.

Somewhat related to AHIP - if a carrier does not pay you on PDPs (looking at you WellCare!), will you continue to sell their MAPDs? I am debating whether I should take my time getting certified with WellCare and others that are not paying us. In GA, both Cigna and Anthem stopped paying most MAPD commissions for any clients sold as of 11/1 last year. They stopped DuRING AEP!

I write absolutely nothing of WellCare. Thieves don't get rewarded with my business. That company no longer exists to me at all.

Ya'll are seriously complaining about spending $150 and 2-3 hours to protect six-figure renewals?!? We make what doctors make, and it takes over a decade of schooling and training to be a doctor. And they are still required to complete CME every 1-2 years. God forbid we have to prove our competency every year.

Many of the same agents who complain that there are too many agents are also complaining about a mechanism that's intended to filter out unfit agents.

AHIP does not prove competency, only the ability to zone out to get thru mind numbing drivel. When you have taken it 17 times-get back with us. They could provide a PDF and a test and skip the droning voices and quizzes. I'll say it again, NABIP was $100 and quicker.

False… you're just tired of taking it.

When you have taken it 17 times-get back with us.
Thanks for proving my point…

Doing a lot of whining over $150 and a couple of hours… maybe this isn't for you. Glad your hanging it up…
