Any good stand alone vision or hearing insurance options?

Ameritas does.

EyeMed network around $7/mo. VSP network between $11-16/mo.

I live near the beach and the better providers here take VSP. VSP allows glasses yearly.

I pitch it as get glasses this year, then Rx sunglasses next year, and just rotate. It's what I do since I like the Rx sunglasses for driving and anytime I'm out for a while.

EyeMed - 1 set of frames / lenses every 24 months. Not as good as VSP, every 12 months.

humana has a good DVH product. have them drop the stand alone dental, and sell the customer on a DVH.

UHC came out with one recently too, in Florida at least, its not as much bang for your buck as Humana.

Medico has an interesting DVH as well.
We sold a DVH a couple a years ago ... I begged the guy not to buy it ... keep it real, are there any brokers on here that would buy one of these ...?

We have found VSP to be useful coverage.

VSP has a stand alone vision plan.

I don't know what you might use for stand alone hearing coverage.

Re humana above: people with significant dental problems may find a couple of surprises with Humana dental insurance coverage for fillings.
I maintain that you will never do better than break even on those b.s. discount plans so why bother ...

Wat do you pay for it ... on your own or mostly paid by an employer ..? Waste a time unless the employer is paying for most of it ...
Over the years, both.

As with other supplementary coverages, viewpoints of agents and consumers about the value of the coverage may diverge.
