Any honest insight on Amerilife?

I have contracts with a local FMO. Some national carriers are done via Integrity. I know their system (Medicare center, etc)

What does Amerilife offer as the number 2? Is it better? Worse?

TBH unless you are the FMO owner, Integrity is terrible. Their customer service is a joke. Their leads are garbage—Might as well just use Yellow Pages. Is Amerilife different?

How do these 2 differ?

What customer service are you referring to at integrity ? You deal with your specific integrity fmo . I've been under an integrity fmo for yrs and I've never had any direct dealings with integrity . I've gotten a few reimbursement checks that were signed by integrity , I've never used their junk leads which are basically ffl's old lead platform as I recall .

Stating "as asked" is rather rude. People aren't required to answer any question any one of us ask here. He said he has been under Integrity for years and told what he knew. He didn't mention being under Amerilife so likely has no experience with them thus didn't mention them. I suspect had he known something he would have said something. You asked about both. You got an answer for what one person knew about one of them. You would have been better off thanking him for what he told you. And then asking if anyone knew anything about Amerilife, rather than attacking him as if he was withholding information. That does not make others inclined to answer someone's question. And for the record I know nothing about either so that is why I am not answering your question.

I know Amerilife had a very bad reputation for not releasing agents for a yr . They had special agreements with carriers like Humana to hold contracts hostage for a yr. Now this is before they started buying many Fmo's so I don't know if that still apply's . My statement is you're not dealing directly with integrity or Amerilife . Each fmo operates somewhat independently of the parent company . So the question you should be asking is about the specific fmo your looking at going with .

They're like Integrity but smaller, and with a reputation for making it some degree more difficult to get released later. Be sure to negotiate release terms in advance.

You're unlikely to get anything special from Amerilife. You might be able to negotiate a more favorable contract by virtue of giving them a competitor's business.

Unless you require a lot of hand holding (like as a new agent), none of these groups are particularly special. Play them against each other to get the best possible terms.

Also, remember that these are conglomerates - certainly Integrity. Deals can vary according to the under entity with which you affiliate. I'm trying to say that sometimes you can get a better deal simply by switching from one Integrity entity to another Integrity entity. They operate as separate business units with separate P&Ls.

I have a friend who was shopping around . The fmo made them sign a non disclosure agreement so they wouldnt take the deal they were offering and use it as a negotiating tool .Most agents don't realize when you sell to integrity or Amerilife that's just the start . You must stay 3-5 yrs and hit many metrics to get your full payout . Those metrics are based on growing a certain % and profitability . From what I've heard there a huge difference in total payout depending on how well you do . If comp structure on mapd changes significantly both of these companies are screwed . I've heard integrity is near coming public . I believe there in the $8 billion plus total rev dept now

I've heard lots of stories of agents taking giant checks from those 2 and they eventually leave because when they don't meet the production requirements, the checks stop.

For an agent, it's enticing but when someone offers you $100k+, that's a lot of pressure to deliver.

That's the problem . It's all lovey dovey at first but you're under intense pressure to produce . Nothings free . But one fmo I'm hearing rave reviews from both agents and Fmo's is Spark Advisors. They actually provide customer service for the agents clients . They also send out all the birthday and other cards for the agents . They give big overrides and marketing money to the Fmo's . I heard and fmo last week saying there rolling out commission software for Fmo's to pay Loa's and admin fees to mga's and ga's .

Spark is the only one of our competitors that I know is better than us at a lot of things. Our other competitors can write bigger checks but we are better than them in most ways. Spark is a great one.
