Anyone still use Medicare App?

I have a client who is turning 65 in December. She doesn't want her Advantage to start until January 1st. When I did the app I did not see an option for IEP only AEP and some other SEP's. It's my understanding if an agent doesn't pick the IEP then the TROOP disappears. Is this correct.

A person's IEP takes precedent over AEP and OEP. Everything revolves around her part B start date.

It's because you are in AEP. If you want to use IEP on this one with an effective date different than her normal start date you will need to do the application on Dec 8. The New to Medicare will be an option then. Otherwise everything right now, even on Medicare.gov, is put through as AEP (carriers may change it on the back end, Im not sure). But that's how I understand it.

Ok she is T65 in dec, her part B with be Dec 1st effective In most cases

I have had people in the past want to start their part B a month off but always its an issue

Now if she has coverage through dec 31st on her employer you can do it as AEP of loss of Group for Jan 1st

Either way you will be paid as new to Medicare and the plan will take effect on proper date

It's something that has been an issue with Medicare App for a while. If you are asking for a 1/1 effective date, it's assuming you are using AEP if you are submitting between 10/15 and 12/7. If you want to use IEP, you'll have to wait until 12/8 to submit.
