Are there any term options available for someone with PTSD disbility due to military history?

A friend of mine is in his early 40s, no tobacco, good health aside from depression, no risky jobs or hobbies, good credit and driving history, no history of violence or attempted suicide. Does he have any options? I've reached out to Protective and Prudential for assessments, I want to have backups in case they decline him. Thanks.

Doing quick quotes is the correct way.
Give every bit of info. Including meds, is he fully employed, alcohol and drug questionnaire, married, any other issues and meds. I would probably check with AIG, PacLife, Banner also.

Send the same info to them all.

First and foremost, PTSD is the cause of his depression, but it's depression that you're going to be underwriting for.

Depression can be underwritten, but likely rated (meaning a rate below or more expensive than standard).

Your chances of getting a favorable underwriting decision (meaning an offer of coverage) is greatly enhanced when you complete a quality questionnaire and answer some questions for the underwriter in your agent statement or agent provided info for the medical questions.

The VSA (Virtual Sales Assistant) has many medical questionnaires. I'm attaching two for depression and clinical depression (very similar, but better to provide them both). The final pages are usually covered by the application. It's the bolded questions that you can ask and get answered by him that really show a higher level of care to the underwriting process.
