California not paying 'MAPD commission' --- is this a national trend?

CMS isn't coming after agent commissions. They've never suggested a problem with commissions. I don't care about the uplines. They provide little value.
I'd be very happy if overrides and marketing money disappear . It would put 80% of Fmo's and all call centers out of business . Means agents business won't be attacked daily . I'll give up marketing money if my clients not beat up ever second

When renewals commissions get axed from subsidy removal by Fed

>>>you wont be able to sell your book of business. <<<

Its coming imo. >>>A commission schedule that pays 1st year only. Carriers will take it from there.<<<

ACA agents 2.0

Watch n learn
I'm on several aca facebook groups . Aca looks cooked for agents and a certain degree consumers . The coming rules will make it difficult . If even commissions all drop to $10 a person a month I'd never write an aca plan . Everybody for 10 yrs are longer has been warned . When you deal with gov't subsidized products anything can happen . Nobody knows what happens but it definitely looks like big changes coming to plans and compensation.

They have been giving away the house to medicare beneficiaries through these subsidies. Free golf, gym memberships, dental, groceries, otc products, 3k hearing aids on ZERO premium plans!

DOGE will sniff it out. When they get wind that carriers basically still handle most of the customer service, then renewal commissions on these prodUcts will eventually get the axe imo.

Musical chairs will come to a screeching halt and alot of agents will be get the memo.

These product were designed for healthcare of a senior. Theyve evolved into a

MONEY GRAB 💀💰
The craziest part is up to $600 total overrides plus $150 a yr renewal overrides for doing very little . They make 2 times the agent .

How are they cooked?
Less subsidies means less profits for carriers .Aetna shows carriers could exit mkt . Carriers like Ambetter won't want the financial risk of all that extra business . Dmi's now mean much longer to get approval of plans as they want proof . No 150% it less sep to write business during the yr . So to do heavy vol you got 6 weeks to do it . Will carriers want to pay the same commissions or even any of much less profitable . What I'm saying writing aca will be a pia in 2026 with so many roadblocks

When reimbursements get lowered from Fed carriers will lower comps to agents. They are first on chopping block not seniors.

Guess last year didn't happen?!? Also, reimbursements were just INCREASED after effectively being cut the last couple of years.

Do you enjoy being wrong?
