best or cheapest? I would put them with SNL graded myself. I'm not taking the chargeback exposure.

That's not a Graded plan(even though they incorrectly call it that), it's a ROP plan.

Depending on what other conditions she has, Humana(Kanawa) will issue a true Graded...25/50/75/100, for $127.28 MBD/$10K. Not cheap, but not ROP.

SNL's ROP is $77.45 MBD/$10K.

What about Gerbers graded plan?

It's ROP+10%....$68.75 for $10K

The reason Hoosier uses SNL instead of Gerber(when possible) is because if the insured dies after 11 months with Gerber you're charged back 100% of the commissions for the 11 months, with SNL, you're not.

The term Graded is used loosely by some companies. Equitable, Gerber, Medico, SNL and Standard Life & Accident are carriers that I have that say Graded...when it's really Modified/ROP+10% interest.

The carriers in my bag that have true Graded are ACI, Foresters, Humana(Kanawa), Sentinel Security and Trinity Life. There are others, but these are the one's I'm sure of.

ACI has the best Graded I'm aware of at 40% 1st year/75% 2nd year/100% 3rd year.

Presidential called their ROP plan "Graded". Never understood that.

There should an industry standard on the terms.
