I wrote my first high deductible Plan F with Medico last week and noticed my commission wasn't what I thought it would be. For anyone that writes these plans, do you get paid on the full premium? Medico subtracted the Part B deductible off the total premium.

Quit complaining. After they deduct the $147 so you have about $100 of annual commissionable premium.

I write quite a few HD Plan F's each month.
Mostly to T65's.
If the insured elects bank debit, the monthly premium is $27. I make 20%.
Just a little more than the Part D I would also sell.
In California, most of my carriers pay comm on the full premium.

So how can a company not pay you on the full premium? If they aren't paying the Part B deductible then how can they deduct that?:skeptical:

Just a fyi PA pays 23 instead of the usual 18 for the hi F. I had the privilege of writting two with them last aep

I don't believe that is legal in IN...

Had you sold High Deductible Plan D, you wouldn't have had this commission problem.

I was hoping they would have a webinar on this at iliaa...

You have to write more to make up the difference.

Maybe it will help if I assign my commissions to you then...

Here in Cali, I sell a HD F T65, the monthly premium is $27. $5.40/month commission.
If the carrier deducted the Part B deductible from the commission, I would then be down to $3.95/month.
I can't make a living at $3.95/month!
