Considering that when you exclude social security and the various medical programs, the military budget is the next biggest item in the budget. If he is looking to cut the budget he needs to also audit the military (Musk would never audit what he has a personal interest in. He has autism - EDIT - was corrected he has a less severe form of that - Aspbergers Syndrome - and that creates a huge number of problems for them with relationships, ability to take into consideration anything other than their own self interest, etc. even though they can be very bright). Reading about it, apparently the Department of Defense has more fraud than any other department, more than all other departments put together. Further they don't even have good systems in place to routinely check for that. One article says, for example, that contractors routinely charge the DOD 40-50% more than things actually cost.
