If she:

-Can do her essential ADLs,
-Was originally prescribed insulin AFTER 50,

...Then you can get Level (Preferred) coverage with United Heritage.

I wrote a wheelchair-bound gentleman a few months back who could do all his ADLs with United Heritage at Level rates -- issued within a few days.

$68.83/month for $10,000 in coverage for your prospect.

I'm contracted with United Heritage. Level premium is $120/month if she qualifies.

Not sure she wants to pay that much.

Nice, very nice! Is this their main Niche? I keep looking at their rates and am having a hard time fitting them in as a main carrier for agents that are working in the region that United Heritage is in. I keep wondering what i'm missing, other than the fixed cost lead deal!

Agents write United Heritage because:

1) They HATE Point-of-Sale calls (not required with UH).
2) They LOVED 5-Star before all the changes (United Heritage Application and Underwriting is more liberal than 5-Star's most recent application concoction) and want a carrier that is close to what 5-Star used to be.
3) They want a bread and butter carrier that is priced fairly (similar to Transamerica and 5-Star) with enough underwriting liberalness to put a sizable chunk of business with them, and is easy to deal with (accessibility to customer service, agent service, underwriting, and a short application).

The only other reason to use United Heritage are the screwy niche cases they fit (wheelchair confinement, current seizures, O2 for sleep apnea only, graded coverage for cancer one year out or more).
