Good General Agents in Michigan

I am recently licensed health and life agent in Michigan. I am looking for a good general agent that will help me get going quickly. I am going to concentrate on health and try to sell health customers life. Prefferablely, I would like to go with someone who can getg 6-12 month advances on commisions, is set up with the top heath carriers, doesnt have a huge override, and will not poach my customers if I leave. Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,

I know Warner Pacific recently expanded into Michigan - They're probably the GA with the most Carrier Contracts.

Otherwise, AEA Group Benefits has always been a strong option.

Self Employed Insurance Group offer contracts with advances - but they sell solely online - so it depends on how you plan to market.

Best of Luck.

Any of you two going to the Norvax seminar in Farmington Hills next week?

It's on Thursday the 9th, from 8:30 to 12:30.

I will be there.

81 firebird, you should go, the seminar is co-sponsored by Warner Pacific. It would be a good opportunity to meet them in person.

If you want any info, either PM, or post a reply.

Firebird - you should really consider going.

I had planned on being there myself but the date fell in the middle of company meetings I can't miss (I was actually supposed to give a brief presentation on our technology)

I did get a chance to attend their WarnerFest's in Birmingham and Grand Rapids a few months back and they really do put on a great event - Definitely the right place for a new agent

Thanks for the heads up. I probably will not be able to make it to the Norvax seminar. I am leaving for Vegas on the 9th. I looked at some of the info Warner Pacific had online. It looks like they gear more towards group. Starting out, I'm going to concentrate on individual. I spoke with Scott from HealthChoiceOne and liked what they brought to the table.
