Group or Individual ACA - Which Is Better?

Hello,

I'm at a fork in the road - trying to choose between signing on with one of two GA's.

One specializes in group health.
The other specializes in Individual health.

My thoughts:
Businesses may be easier to prospect since they are not on the do not call list as I understand it, but probably already have an agent to handle their health insurance.

Individual may be more restrictive to prospect due to the DNC list, but there are many who are not yet enrolled in an ACA plan yet.

Your thoughts please?

Thanks!

Based on your posts, I would strongly recommend you go with the GA that offers the most training.

There's nothing wrong with being a little green, but you aren't ready for this OEP. And its probably too late to learn at this point for 2015.

The advantage for you (at this point) is that group is sold year round. Indy (with the exceptions of SEP's) are only sold during OEP. That means in the next 60 days you need to learn what the rest of us have been studying since March 23 2010.

I would go with group, then sell it throughout 2015, while studying Indy and getting ready for a great 2016 OEP.

Its a great career and I wish you all the best.
