Humana MECA anyone?

I know this post is old but if anyone is searching about Humana MECA program, let me fill you in.
Not truly independent and I would be surprised if you see many if any leads. Once you leave their MECA program and go delegated they keep your renewals. Humana has a strong captive force so if you get any leads at all they will be leftovers. You will also be subject to some production requirements including HFPP. I worked as a MECA for Humana for 4 Years in Georgia.
The program provided about 200- 300 leads per enrollment season. (You have to weed out the duds to work them all.)
The first three years I averaged between 100 to 120 sells per enrollment season. It is not true that when you leave the MECA program they keep your residuals. That only applies to their employed career agents. I guess the amount of leads they give you depends upon your manager and how many career agents they have in your area. Also, you cannot sell any other company's MA products such as: Advantage Plans and PDP Plans. You are free to sell any company's Med-Supps as long as you don't use their leads to do it. You don't have to sell their specialty products ( Final Expense, Dental etc....) unless you plan to go Career with them in the future.

Did anyone look at their MooP for 2013? Up to $6700 on some plans!!! Their MA's lost money on their last Q statement.

correct their MOOP went up, but primarily on their PPO plans because they can't manage cost as closely in those plans. Nationally compared to others their benefits stayed flat which is pretty good given all the reimbursement changes MA carriers experienced.
So what is the moop for the Humana PPO this year?

I believe they stayed at $6700 but raised their premium about $5 ahhhh sounds like poker..hehe

Does anyone know the "sneak peak" Humana PPO programs for Steuben County, Ny area? How would I go about finding the pre-CMS approved outlay for this 2013 market? I have a ton of members in Humana plans that I keep hearing are going to change a LOT this year rate wise OOP wise etc.... Please let me know! Thanks!
