This was a personal goal of mine to do. I am going to get to as earned with 75% of my carriers in the next 24 months. I like it so far. Just sharing, not that any of you in this stinky locker room give a flip:twitchy:

I lowered all my advances last year to 3 or 6 months, with the goal of getting most to as earned. Leads tend to be too pricey to completely do it however.

Yep I hear ya. I did lower 2 other carriers from 9 months to 6 months advances. Those will be the next 2 to go as earned. Wax on wax off, wax on wax off, call me DANIELSON!!!:1biggrin:

Once you get to the 10th month of as earned, the cash flow is no different than a 9- month advance. But it smooths out your income a whole lot.

Best thing I ever did. The problem is that if you slack off this month, you're really going to feel it for the next year.

I do it with every company after 6 months of production. Most agents don't realize that some companies charge interest for advanced balance + it'll mess up your 1099. As earned rocks because it keeps you hungry for writing business and chargebacks are no big deal
