I gotta put in an atta boy for a company

I'll agree 100% that Cigna has been good on med supps. I do not hesitate to write them.
I wrote about 60 Cigna mapd since aep either because they had no Rx deductible or they were one of the few mapd plans in the county . I can say without a doubt they're the worst mapd carrier I've ever wrote. I had a disenrollment from Jan 31st i never knew i had and i just got charged back on it last week . They take 4-6 weeks to pay you on new enrollments . I'm praying hsbc changes some things . I see devoted is expanding big still within states there in plus adding 4-5 new states . Depending on their products for 2026 I'll be looking at them hard for 26

Every time I call Cigna for help, someone is answering within 5 seconds. Not only that but it's someone within the US. That means they are actually spending money are good care for agents and clients. They are my favorite company to work with on the supp side.
then they deny care for MAPD plans and had the WORST network I have ever seen in 18 years. I've sold for BCBS, UHC, Humana, Unicare, and other regional plans over time. Cigna was the worst. I moved everyone off their plans.

I will second this. And their PDP statements come by mail. You have to email them for a PDP copy of the statement. PIA.

However, from the sup side, I have only had positive experiences. For my state, and even nationally, they have a decent loss ratio and the rates have been very competitive.

Where I don't like the sup side of them, I believe they offer a 4% discount if you bypass the agent and go direct to the carrier--if this is still true.
