The weight loss drugs are just appetite suppressants. It just makes fasting less uncomfortable.

Why would anyone expect this covered in the first place?

Its like saying Medicare wont cover medical marijuana, or Vitamins, or acupuncture, or whatever

I know some Medicare advantage plans would cover some of those things but only as an "Extra" benefit NOT as a medical benefit so that is not the same thing

The same reason why some people expect their Medicare plan to buy them steaks, pay their gym membership, and provide free rides to the doctor.

To the customer, an "extra benefit" and "medical benefit" is the same thing if the plan pays for it
