Looking for agency with free leads

Hi. I just got licensed in 13 states to sell FE (telesales) with an agency, but I backed out after reading the agency contract (couldn't view the contract until after I got the non-res licenses). Among other things, it had a non-compete clause I couldn't swallow. Anyway, if there are agencies that are looking to train and hire a hungry and eager agent for FE telesales with free leads, I'm willing to talk.
This may be of interest to you:

_We were the first group in the nation to start sellig FE over the phone, way back in 2004, pretty much over a decade before anyone else on this forum started to because of covid.

_We work FREE live transfers about 45 sec old, from people responding to a TV commercial or a FB ad. We dont work live transfers from an overseas call center.

_The leads are generated by the carrier, not by any agency. Leads are also exclusive to one agent only.

_You can expect to get about 5-8 sales per 20 conversations (live transfers).

_No wasted time on dialing and dialing just to hear someone say "we already took care of it", "we changed our mind", "I didn't answer any ad", etc.

_The live transfers run from 8am est to 11pm est Mon thru Thur, and from 9am est to 6pm est on Fri and Sat. You set your own hours depending on your ambition and goals.

_Being licensed in 15+ states is a necessity, otherwise you could spent a couple of hours waiting for the next live transfer.

_We have the best FE telesales training in the nation as well we should. After all we started over a decade before others.

_Simple voice signature. No 3rd party interference with underwriters, etc.

_Agents start at 50% FYC and can promote themselves based on production. You don't have to depend on your upline to increase your commissions.

_Immediate vesting.

_You get paid by the carrier not the agency.

_There is no fee to join our team.

Requirements:
_Must average $2500 AP (approx. 3 sales) per 20 live transfers. Otherwise we part ways on good terms.

_Must follow our proven system for success.

_Must be honest, coachable, and able to commit to 30+ hours per week (except during AEP, etc).

You want control over you leads then don't do a free lead program

You may be missing his point: The lead FLOW is controlled to each agent individually. If an agent is getting close to earning a bonus payment, it is easy for DIG to reduce lead flow to THAT particular agent, or reduce fresh leads and increase aged leads to THAT particular agent.

It goes without saying that the leads are controlled by the agency in a free lead program.

What @whatyouwantfinally is suggesting is that your lead flow is not necessarily shared equally to all agents, and in fact, DIG tells new agents that they will be on aged leads to get started.

So give us $1000 to join but you can get it back if you can earn it as a fast start bonus during the first 30 days where we will be restricting the quantity and quality of your lead flow.

Get it?

Ohh I get it,

But the only way one can feel they are def treated farily on the leads they recieve

Is IF they control thier own leads

If you hand control to another you will never know if you are getting the right leads

I am telling you when leads went from great to you are the 100th person to call and I never did anything over night

All the brokerage would say, Just a bad call the leads are the same keep dialing

same thing with Bonases and such

it is all part of the game

Which is WHY I am independent

Now there are programs where you buys leads at a reduced price with FMO

These are not the same thing as free leads

You will never win long term with free leads

You want control over you leads then don't do a free lead program

In 2006 I worked for a brokerage they got me lic and taught me insurance and fed me leads

However when they decided they wanted to sell crappy indemnity plans instead of quality insurance they had control over the leads and the commission

I learned then if you are getting fed your giving up control, you want control you have to buy your own leads or self generate
Imagine that same job but with 30 hungry, commission-only reps all incentivized to politic/backstab/gossip/bribe their way up the hierarchy of the lead pecking order. Somebody with more favor than you gets his buddy in, who seems to get to skip the line and hits the ground running. You're one deal short of a bonus on the last day of the month and strangely 0 leads come in. ETC.

These things and more all happen, constantly, in the huge majority of setups like this. There's a reason Glengarry Glen Ross hits home with salesmen.

Ohh No you don't think I am justifying it?

I am jus saying this is the reality of it

I guess the distinction I'm making is between non-indy sales roles where lead flow is blind/automated vs controlled. I've had sales jobs that handled this really well and avoided these pitfalls.

But it takes a well-established and funded system where there's little/no concern about keeping the lights on every month. Companies comfortable enough to focus on long vs short term production.

What are the pros and cons of SL? Are they as expensive as LH? I sold LH a few years ago and did relatively well. Please, no haters. I hated LH enough for all of us.
