MA Plan w/Wild benefits in Georgia Part 2

You may have seen my first post asking if any of you were familiar with Sonder in Georgia.

Well, I went to Georgia for their product rollout, met their people, reviewed their plans, and dug deep into the network and details.

It was hard to believe a plan could offer $400/mo grocery benefit and not even be a DSNP, but here we are. $0 specialist copay. Paying $100 HRA. The list goes on.

I can't find anything wrong with it, other than they are a fledgling company. Have every hospital in Atlanta. Strong network elsewhere. Northside, Piedmont, Grady, Emory, Wellstar... Expanding from 12 counties (Atlanta area) to 84 for '25.

I'm helping my FMO move forward in marketing the plan. Let me know if you're selling in Georgia this year and want more information. We can do GA, MGA, SGA, FMO contracts for this. Willing to Co-op marketing.

Blessings in AEP!

They had the same benefits last yr . $400 a month on a csnp . A tiny company buying business scares me. I was offered $100 override last yr and $200 an app marketing money . I have no interest in having to move my whole book when they fold .

True but just in 12 counties. I'm in SC and spent 20 years in Athens so the eastward expansion is a big deal to me. Should also add I am in growth mode so having to move clients later doesn't concern me (though perhaps it should).

Obviously, you make valid points tho.

Freakin wow . Dsnp . $295 a month for gas and utilities . $250 a month for food . $100 a month for otc . $5k dental . Thats $645 a month . Thats buying business . I know you say they have the hospitals but i bet dr network thin . When too good to be true it is . I want to talk to agents who sold last yr about how they pay claims . I'll stick to the big carriers

Hey, the word I used was "wild". There's a reason I took the trip to Atlanta to meet them. I said directly to them "The plans are too good to be true." They said, "Watch!"

You say buying business. Correct! And what happens to these little MAs if they succeed? Somebody walks away rich when bought out.

Many doctors are aligned (same network) with those hospitals so … 🤷‍♂️. I'll report back next summer.

lol regular plans $430 a month food/gas/otc .Yep buying business to sell . Just like devoted . What overrides are fmo's getting ? I bet $450 an app and big marketing money?

Lasted 2 years then POOF.
Yeah I don't think it's too uncommon for new MAs not to last too long.

In the case of Sonder,
IF the client's providers are in-network and IF formulary needs are met, I don't think the client will care if Sonder is gone 2 years later. Get your 400/mo food, $0 specialist copay, tier 3 & 4 Rx copay, etc etc then change 2 years later. This type of client doesn't mind changing. As long as their doctor and Rx needs are met, ASSUMING THE PLAN WORKS AS STATED, happy clients for 2 years.

And as I said above, I'm growing (and fairly young), don't mind the work of switching them later if needed.

Totally understand why you "old heads" (compliment!) wouldn't fool with it. But you may have clients who would love the plan.
