So after being asked occasionally about Primerica's rates, I decided to add Primerica life insurance quotes to my website. This is easy to do with Compulife software and to promote this act of objectivity, I put out the following press release.

Primerica Life Insurance Quotes Now Displayed on YourLifeSolution.com in Lieu of Primerica.com Displaying Them

Duane Morrow, Primerica's CMO, then left this highly facetious message on my voicemail.

yourlifesolution.com/primericaharassment.mp3

After I didn't respond, he then sent this email. Just to be 100% clear, this is copy/paste to the letter what he composed and emailed me.

Duane M. Morrow
CMO/EVP Primerica

This is clearly harassment in that he is saying he will sick the Primerica army on me. Remember, this is not a random "bad apple" agent. This is a paid executive for Primerica.

Who here thinks this is even remotely acceptable behavior?

Re: Duane Morrow CMO of Primerica Harassing Me

No news here. After listening to the beginning of the clip, I was waiting for him to sign off with "now you have yerself a dad-gum nice day, ya hear?"

You don't have anything actionable yet. If you receive any harrassing calls, then maybe.

You would think he had more important business to tend to...Apparantly not the case...Really surprised he is taking the time to pesture you, as I'm sure there are other sites out there with their rates...

Re: Duane Morrow CMO of Primerica Harassing Me

I don't see the harassment. Sure, he's being smarmy but that in and of itself is not harassment. I also don't think its unacceptable behavior.

If you asked him to stop and he didn't that's another story. At the same token, if he asked you to pull Primerica's rates from your quote engine would you?

They openly supply them to Compulife, I subscribe to Compulife, they are welcome to not supply them.

Saying he will tell 93,000 people about me is subtle harassment.

Term4sale.com for sure, and probably many Compulife subscribers who don't set specific companies

I read more as this guy doesn't have a clue. I almost got the feeling he really thinks it is going to help Primerica and its agents.

That was my take too. Also, I can't believe the complete lack of proofreading in his email to Eric. And that same lack of attention to detail extends to his LinkedIn profile as well.

As a CMO how can he let those types of things slip through the cracks???

I hear you.

Here is what I took from the exchange.

1) You put Primerica's Rates on your site.

2) Someone responded to your action as an executive/decision maker of Primerica.

3) You didn't like their response.

4) You came on the forum looking for feedback over the whole exchange. Why? I don't know... Do you need some justification?

Did not seem like harassment to me.

I do not know if they supply the rates or not. Many do not. They get a lot of the rates from agents.

I wish Primerica would write more business locally. It would save me a lot of driving.

What are these 93,000 part timers going to do? Offer your clients a FNA? All that does is give you a higher premium to work with. Say they charge $100.mo for $150,000 with their increasing premium rider. You sell $225,000 for $98.mo. They sell their 30 yr (guaranteed 20 yrs) You sell Guaranteed 30 years at a higher face and lower premium.

I would be interested in seeing their new product.

Just my 2 cents, but I would say showing how un competitive they are on your site seems a bit more harassing. I get it, I would do it too.

I think it's great having Primerica rates on there, especially when there's times when we're nearly $1,000/yr cheaper than the competition! Might finally dispel the misconception we still have overpriced term!

Downside is you can't take family banding into consideration in your quotes, so it won't be totally accurate, but it's a good start!
