Do you work for LH? Sure looks like it. The answer to your question is yes...I can compare rates...and I can add a considerable amount of coverage to ex-LH customers.

No I'm not. But if their telesales platform made sense to me I'd consider it. And of course depending on certain specifics on the carrier but rates is not one of them. I have a 72% placement And 80% pers. On telesales I've written with multiple carriers...amam, foresters, lbl, bl. You can probably beat all of my policies except foresters, which I refuse to sell for them.

Just curious. Why do you refuse to write Foresters?

They only ppl who say things like this are the ppl with a vested interest in the product being called "crap". Now while I don't think LH or SL is crap (it's whole life, the fam is better off then having nothing) ... I do think their pricing is crap.

Lemme ask u this, the next time u buy something important from a salesman ... And u find out u can get it much cheaper do u think "my salesman loves me & was looking out for my best interest even tho he overcharged me"?

GTFOH, you've never thought that EVER... Neither do your clients!

I have my car insurance from all state. I pay almost $30 more a month for my car insurance with them than I could of had with any other company. I'm paying for faster claims, but most important some darn good service. And if I ever get in an accident that's the service I will need. So you are absolutely wrong. I'm not a price shopper, cheap is not better!

Right on. Price is one the most overrated aspects of this business, imho. Regardless of what you're selling, price (within reason), should not make or break you. Recently had a lady take my policy and drop one she had just purchased. Mine was $20/mo. more. The client flat out told me she couldn't stand the woman who sold it to her. Even called the other agent personally to cancel while I was there.
If price was such a big driver of FE, then the T.V. and mail order companies wouldn't be ruling the roost selling their inferior/expensive coverage. You are correct. The biggest driver of your success is you.

Amen to that. It's all about belief. And I believe paying 5, 10, or 20 extra a month is worth paying to have someone who is going to provide the customer with top tier service. If your competitive edge is price than you are no different than anyone else who holds the same carrier as you

You are also not on a fixed income.

Cheap for the same thing is always better. Cheaper for something different is not. But when you are atlaking about whole life vs whole life and the same guarantees then cheaper is better.

People that sell the same thing for a higher price will always try to argue that point but there is no argument to be made.

When the same exact thing is available to a person the one that lower priced is better.

You might an occasional unicorn where the buyer didn't like the salesman. OK, find a salesman that you do like that sells the same thing for a lower price.

They dragged their feet to pay a death claim and their employees were not helpful. They acted as if they were doing me a favor. I don't want my customers to get that kind of service when it comes to something as emotional as losing a loved one.

So what company meets your emotional criteria. I am just asking.

If these LH policies are such "crap" and people only buy "cheaper" ins. Don't you think "overpriced comp" wouldn't be in business? People don't buy life ins. Bc of price they buy it bc they love their family. Just my thoughts....I'm not in the business to replace policies I'm in the business to fulfill clients needs by adding coverage. My clients love me bc i genuinely care for each of them and they buy from me bc they know how much I care...not bc I sell insurance from the dollar menu.

First thing if a person has LH, SL, or any other insurance product I'm happy for them. They see the value in protecting their family. But, those people with the over priced policies for THE EXACT SAME TYPE OF POLICY usually have never been shown anything else. You simply don't know what's available until somebody shows you.

Second...if I can replace a policy and it be in the best interest of the client I still do it ALL DAY LONG.

How are you in sales and think this? Have you ever had to file a death claim? Have you ever had a company take a long time to issue a policy then find out their graded rather than immediate? Or how about had to be on hold for 15 minutes to speak to someone? All companies are NOT created equal bc they both offer whole life.

That's exactly why the career span of an insurance agent is less than 3 years, they sell on price not need. You can go and try to replace my customers....I'll high five you if you can!

1) NO ONE said cheaper was better!

2) I was comparing apples to apples....you're comparing apples to cantaloupe. Of course some ppl will pay more for better service, but you're paying more for BETTER SERVICE, not for the same thing. You wont pay Allstate $30 more a month for the same ins/service from another company if u knew it....and u def wouldnt loved your Allstate man for charging you more.

Do me a favor, next time you book a flt, car, hotel room & its the SAME THING but its just more on 1 site & u decided to pay more just cause....come on here & tell us! OR better yet, go tell your mom, grandma, relative to get a policy from LH even though u know they could be paying $20-30 less a month just cause....STOP IT already with your weak argument!!
