SIWL for 15M, Insulin-Dependent, Type-1 Diabetic.

Thoughts on any carrier options?

SNL has a product that is kind of hidden. Its the Security Care Plan, formally the Funeral Plan. I think it may be worth a look, probably gonna be a limited DB capped at $15,000. But its cheap and they are aggressive on the uw.

Standard Life & Accident (SLAICO) would be good for Sub-standard Level at age 18.

UHL would go with Express Issue Deluxe (Level) at age 20.

Fully underwritten is an option also, looking for High Table Rating (Table 12-16 most likely). Need much more to go on for that

Hmm. Maybe best to go with an adult plan with some sort of child rider, perhaps?

Not sure how good an option this is since they blew up their rates. Assurity - term on each parent gets him $5,000 plus $5,000 as a non med child rider on each plan. Not sure if you can do it on each parent with UHL also. maybe a goal to get old enough to convert or qualify for SI plan on his own.

Not available in TN

Trans does no UW on child riders. $5000 cap.

There's also a term company I found that doesn't UW child riders. If that's a route you want to go PM me and I can search through my emails and see who it was.

If he wasn't diagnosed as diabetic in the last 12 months and hasn't had any complications related to the diabetes in that time then Assurity would take him at level benefit SWL. That is of course if he doesn't have any other health issues to complicate the matter.

This is Type 1 insulin Diabetes..... it is a decline for Assurity SIWL.... They will look at Type 1 diabetes as tough to control with such an early onset. Also, they are very picky on glucose and A1c Readings and Levels. They will want an APS for this risk on SIWL and will decline because of it and suggest Fully underwritten to do the APS where they will probably offer a Table 8.

This is a Tbl 8 type risk and there will not be a SIWL plan that will take him until 18 yrs of age.
