Stand Alone Cancer plans..?

If they don't they'd better hope it is a health system that doesn't, after they are sent to collection and still don't pay, sue them and cut off care. Every system locally but one does that.
I've yet to see anyone cut off a cancer patient Hospital writes it off .They're still getting 80% of the bill from ins carrier

That's strange.

I've got an appt this morning that's a T65. She came to me late last year freaking out. She was supposed to have a kidney removed in December.

Both her doctor and the hospital called and cancelled her surgery because she had lost her insurance.

When I meet with her, I'll be sure and tell her that that kind of shit doesn't really happen.

Nope. She was a Medicaid drop. I did an sep and got her an ACA plan and back on Medicaid. Medicare starts 3/1

Helped her get everything rescheduled. I forget the doctor. Some oncologist in Atlanta. Hospital was Piedmont. That's @somarco 's turf. Maybe he can tell us about them.

Point is that stuff happens every day. @annon123 is spot on.

In my examples nobody lost their insurance . There just not paying the copays . I've dealt with literally 1000's of low income people on Medicaid ,partial Medicaid and lis and i bet 90% never have paid hospital nor cancer care copayments or coins . Supposedly you said you write 99% of your business with med supps and don't deal with low income people . lol

I didn't realize she was under 65 ... so she is back on a subsidized ACA plan ... what SEP did you use ..? Will she wait till 3/1 for her surgery ... less out of pocket no ..? What plan exactly is she on with the ACA ... how much o.o.p would be on that ..?

You didn't use examples. You made a broad statement.

I never supposedly said anything. I've always said that supps are 70 to 75% of what I sell.

And I never said that I don't deal with low income. In fact I deal with them every day. I simply said that they are not my natural market.

Can't remember the sep I used nor her oop. I'll have to go back and look it up.

I put her with Aetna because of the network she needed. Out of town doctors.

Surgery is next week.

If they have Medicaid with Medicare or MA there are no copays for them to pay.

I'm not talking about the copays with the Medicaid people . I'm talking about the lower middle income and lis members who have full copy's and moops
