Hello all,

There are three agents in our office and we are taking the CA life test together. We signed up for pre-licensing online but we all would like a hard copy book to study out of.

Does anyone have the CA life insurance agent manual in a pdf or similar format? You would be helping us out tremendously.

Please let me know if you have and I'll get you the email address. The post won't let me put it in here because I am new.

Thank you so much.

You can purchase a book at www prelicensetraining (dot) com for $39.99 + shipping. I used them for online 52 loooooooooooong hours online and used the book. Buying the book yourself at leaset lets you know your going to get the most up to date info. At least you would think you were..

It hasn't been to long since they split the life and heath exams, so there probably isn't to many people with the right books laying around.

I strongly suggest taking all the practice tests you can, don't worry so much about the book. The practice tests will teach you what you need to pass the license test.

Remember, if in doubt, pick the answer that best protects the client. While this is always the answer on a securities test, its usually the answer on the insurance tests as well.

I'd STRONGLY suggest getting a hardcopy book with a training CD in it. AD Banker has one of the more user friendly manuals in it, and their training CD is worth the time and effort.

If you have the time and the loot, you might consider taking a physical class, Banker has several in the State, and it's worth the effort, my course was in Pasadena and I am in the Whittier area.

The text is easy to read, doesn't contain any excess fluff, and, spookly enough, the practice tests, in the book and on the CD is similar to the State test.

I'm not sure if you are still looking for the book, but here in VA our agents can rent "Exam Cram: Life and Health Insurance License Exam" at the Library for free.

You can use it for 2 weeks and then check it out again if you need more time.

Not sure if that's how it works in CA.
