This past month some of the biggest Medicare only telesales fmo shops have added life divisions

Why include Pfizer, they aren't a health insurance company? Sure, there are issues with Pharma, but that's a separate issue. You also seem to forget that there are lots of individuals and employers paying premiums into these insurance companies.

Lastly, government run healthcare has serious issues. I've spoken to enough Canadians to know that there are serious flaws with it. But sure, Americans could clearly do it better because the politicians and bureaucrats who would be in charge clearly know better than the similar folks in Canada and other countries.

You've spoken with Canadians but I have lived in both systems and single-payor is far far superior in every way.

I have a few Canadian clients who would disagree either way you. They've said, "sure, as long as you have no real health issues".

United Health Net Income: $14,400,000,000

Anthem Net Income: $6,000,000,000

Cigna Net Income: $3,400,000,000

Pfizer Net Income: $8,000,000,000

Those are annual profits that go to investors.

That is after doctors are paid. Hospitals are paid. Research is paid. Carrier employees are paid. Agents are paid. Etc.

Those are excess premium dollars... which are mostly tax dollars.... being funneled to investors...

$31,800,000,000 annual .... much of it tax dollars... just from those 4 alone.

A non-profit system, not run by investors and shareholders demanding maximized returns on investments; is exactly what we need.

That could be public, that could be private.

But funneling trillions in tax dollars to the top 1%, in the name of "healthcare", is the dumbest CON our country has ever fallen for.
Sooooooo, how does Medicare and Social Security get funded? By those in the workforce. For the next 20 years more people will be out of the workforce than in. How do you intend for all of these programs to be funded?

That is bull crap. I have not heard of one person happy with single-payor, unless they never ever have to go to a doctor, then yes they are happy. My wife and I lived in Canada and the wait times are absolutely horrendous. The facilities are a dump in almost all cases. If you want an elective surgery it's like a year or 2 out. Even my pregnant wife was given bad care compared to the care in the States.

I lived in the UK for 18 years.. 90% of my family still live in the UK. I am speaking from personal experience.

I love what I've done the last 5 yrs in Medicare and I've made a lot of money . I worked my ass off from late aug until Jan selling , taking calls etc . But honestly from Feb until now I might be in the field 2-3 days a week . I still take all the calls and sell 10-15 referrals a month mostly over the phone . I calculated

Actually United made $22 billion in 2023. You got the $14 billion off yahoo for 2024 . There was a $7 billion non cash depreciation write down . I knew that $14 billion didn't look right . I've followed unh's stock for years and i was amazed when they were knocking down $5 billion a qtr in net income
