The Boehner-Pelosi bill would replace a 1990s formula that linked doctor pay to economic growth with a new one more focused on quality of care. It also would require means-testing of Medicare beneficiaries so higher income people pay higher premiums.

Even then a lot of seniors aren't going to like the new cost sharing.

By the way it cleared the House it looks like it should breeze through the Senate as well. However only time will tell.

Before it is passed by the Senate it will be gone over very carefully and pick at in conference. It will be interesting to see which parts survive that process

Haven't looked for it but there is supposed to abortion funding in the House version which Senate Dims won't like.

If im not mistaken, it funds baby killing for 2 more years, then stops. Or in DC terms, its funds it forever.

What's so hard about increasing the pay to medical providers, or keeping it from dropping 25% like its scheduled to? Clean and simple..duh.
