United Healthcare is cutting commissions for 15% of all MAPD

But I'm not holding my breath. I thought the big FMOs were going to somehow sue WellCare for stealing our renewals (and yes, I understand technically, it was legal) but that never materialized, at least not to my knowledge.

We heard "yeah, they're having meetings" and "something will be done," then crickets.
Thats what most agents are failing to realize .Yes united didn't really "steal" agents renewals . But they 99% won't be renewing those commission suppressed plans so in reality they did steal them . You still have to move all those clients to new plans no different than if they stopped paying you renewals and you had to move the client

just tell them they are having supply chain issues and show them another plan. you don't have to tell them that supplying you with commissions is the issue. just kidding.no I'm not.

I'd just be honest about how I feel…….

"Mr. Smith, over the past year, this company has made some unethical business decisions, and I really don't feel comfortable putting you with a company like that." Very simple.

It's being very honest about how I feel. They're screwing us agents around. You think they aren't gonna screw our clients around?

I reward the businesses that act in an ethical manner by treating us agents and our clients well. Perfect example……GTL….literally the best company I have EVER worked with.

My clients submit claims….no questions asked….no hassle…..claim is paid. I've never been screwed around on pay. Customer service is local and beyond helpful and friendly. Those are businesses I reward.

If some of these companies are gonna screw us around, then they need to understand there will be consequences for those actions.

United wants to cancel a ton of plans and not pay on PDPs? Fine. Then you're not gonna get any of my business for any line. Simple.

And as we all know, WellCare is the worst of all with their outrageous and unprecedented decision to cancel all renewals on all PDP's. That company is dead to me forever.

Someone else may have posted this, but there was an email from UHC with a link to a commission contract update that has a list of multi states, with number of changes for each agent depending on what state(s) of licensing. Contacting agent support or area management can help.

FWIW A "negative" rating is not a good rating. Just sayn.

Last week, Moody's Ratings and S&P Global Ratings each downgraded UnitedHealth Group's credit from "stable" to "negative
I think eventually carriers will try to cut the agent out . I think we see a few in 2026 and more in 2027 .United renewals hit Jarvis today . Damm thats sweet when i think i might talk to 75% -80% of these clients 1 time a yr during aep. I fully understand why carriers want those renewals themselves . I ride the train till it goes off the tracks. But i have to admit seeing all the emails on ahip and recruiting going on the fmo's ain't got the message yet .

I agree I have a good renewal for years, I am def happy I have got into FE when I did
But nothing is going to be as good as the Medicare book I have for years

I have a lot of clients still on the books from 2011 though 2013 before I really started using a CRM

Many of those clients are in NY where I lived at the time UHC
I did try and call this past AEP and a lot of wrong numbers and people who don't remember me
It was before i had systems in place for send out cards and monthly emails
