Just got an email...UHC is pulling Golden Rule, AMS and Pacificare (and maybe others I don't know about) all together under the brand name...

UnitedHealthONE

Wonder how much they spent on MBA's to get a name just like Humana's?

At one time AMS was fantastic to work with. Underwriting was good, rates were good, coverage was good and then PacifiCare came into the picture, commissions dropped, service dropped, haven't been happy since. It's terrible being spoiled:cute:

AMS still has solid rates in Central PA. but service is not the same. Until last year, the AMS Indy team would make a semi-annual personal visit to our office, bring food, spend the morning etc...

Now...none of them are with the company.

Well, the change is coming! I just logged into E-Store Broker and saw the new logo, looks poorly designed. The name is no longer United Healthcare, it's UnitedHealthOne. Golden Rule, Pacificare and Oxford logos still remain, although the logos changed in design.

The more I think about it, this might hurt the brand. They should have just kept it UnitedHealthCare, and forgot the 1. What's with 1 anyway? #1 Carrier? 1 solution? For 1 and all, except if you are sick of course? 1 more annoying task to explain to clients?

Why bite off H1? Just keep it UnitedHealthCare. And, it looks like Golden Rule will be staying Golden Rule according to the logos.

I agree 100%. GR's marketing people are ridiculous. Look at how they illustrate co-insurance. They put intimidating numbers in print like 'up to $10,000' and 'up to $15,000' This scares the hell out of people.

With that said, they're still my favorite ind carrier.

Dead on Mike - that $10,000 does a great job of scaring people to death.

What the??? Why isn't the OOP simply stated. I've even explained it and had client argue "that's not what it says."
