I've noticed that both medicare.gov and my state insurance department still post quotes for plans C and F for all ages, all the way back to age 65. (Even younger, actually, for people who qualify.)
But why do these Plan C and Plan F quotes exist? I can't come up with any situation where anyone who turned 65 after 1/1/20 could buy Plan C or F.
Yes, if someone enrolled in Part B before 1/1/20 but later has a GI opportunity to buy Medigap, they could buy Plan F, but they wouldn't be getting an age 65 price. Today, for instance, they'd be at least 69.
Is there some legal or regulatory reason plans have to submit quotes for every age for every plan type they offer even if some of the quotes seem to be meaningless?
(I must be missing something!)
