I need to come up with the time to create some content myself.

Much easier to get ideas from news sources (as suggested in post #19) than creating from scratch.

At one time I wrote articles on a blank page but found it too taxing and time consuming. Then I started writing counter-point posts to articles that were incorrect or lacking in detail. That is much easier than starting from scratch.

So is taking information that may be accurate and informative but written with a technical slant that most people will not read or understand. Take the basic information and tell folks how this action impacts you (the consumer).

Critical thinking and analysis is lacking in the general public, so you have to do it for them.

They probably lack the ability to understand that the MAPD market will probably shrink in rural areas as a result of losses taken on by hospitals in those areas.

Translation . . . fewer par providers, hospitals (and specialists) limiting the number of carriers they will accept, increases dissatisfaction among policyholders who find it challenging to access the care they need and want.

"Affiliated hospitals" indicates hospitals that are owned or staffed by an insurance carrier. UHC is vertically integrated to the extent that other carriers are copying their business model.

Until recently, most doctors still worked in private practice. Now, almost 70% of doctors in the U.S. work for corporations and hospitals.

Granted, not everyone is concerned about this but one day they will wake up and discover limited access to healthcare is a serious matter. It depends on whose ox is being gored.
