I cannot read the full article [requires sign in] but my guess is the article does not spend much time discussing both the costs to create the drug [and get it approved] nor the "patent cliff" that exists.

Yup...tax more, more regulation, artificially lower costs, and then end up costing people two or three times as much on something else as an unintended consequence of such action.

Him and his ilk are killers of innovation, because they always remove the incentive.
