Anyone know of a decent insurance company covering implants for new members (after waiting periods - if applicable)? This is for Pennsylvania.

UHC Dental Gen Deluxe covers implants.

You'd have to evaluate the combination of premium, coverage and provider network in your area to see if you think it is a useful plan for you or your client.

The average cost of a dental implant is anywhere between $1,000 and $4,500. This price typically includes the implant (artificial tooth root), the abutment (support post), and the dental crown (false tooth). If bone grafts are needed, the cost of treatment will increase.

Most dental coverage, including discount plans, do not cover implants.

I have never sold dental insurance but I have reviewed a number of brochures and web sites. Many have exclusions or waiting periods for repairing/replacing work done prior to the effective date of the new policy.

About 80% of dental providers do not participate in ANY dental managed care or discount plan.

The OP is looking for something that does not exist, or if they find it, they and/or their clients will not be happy.

Pulling a tooth is around $300.

To your knowledge, does any companies perform services on implants? Like crowns? after the fact?

If you are asking what it looks like you are asking, as an insurance agent you should know better.

all hmo plans.. liberty delta.. etc cover crowns after the fact.. but copay range from 250-500 per crown.. ( approx)

So you are saying these dental plans cover a service provided before the dental patient had the plan in effect?
