I'm wondering who is best cheapest to get a toll free # with? I;ve heard there are some where you can just rent it out for a short time?

Also, when asking a reply card to call you back for immediate service.. which is better.. a local # so the client thinks you are local or a toll free #?

Are some toll free #'s better than others? 1-800 is easy. I know when I see a 1-866 or 877, it can be confusing to dial properly.

I've used kall8 for years. $2 bucks to pick out a number, and a per minute charge. My monthly bill is usually about $10...

It's 3am and I am sitting out side my daughter's school waiting for her frecken bus. Some drunk wanted me to give him a ride at the 7/11. I am on an insurance site at 3am

Do you remember when you were 20, 30? Did you ever even remotely imagine yourself in that position? ;)

I have had a toll free in the past but not in years. Don't see much need for it. Most folks don't pay for LD any more. If you are only working one state I think it helps to show folks you are local. An 800 number can be anywhere.

Personally, I never felt warm fuzzies about a site that did not have personal contact info including an address and bio, but only had an 800 number.

Personally if at all possible I would list both the local and toll free number....Not everyone has free long distance so the toll free can be helpful...I list both numbers on my sites, Letterhead etc....I use ringcentral for my phone system and the cost of the toll free is built in.

I don't see how dialing 866 or 877 is confusing to dial properly...Yes there are still some people too backwards to know that 877 and 866 are toll free numbers like 800.
