I'm surprised of all the posts in this forum, none address agency software. At least my "agency software" search did not yield any.

I am starting a new agency. Looked at "Your Insurance Office", Affordable but not adaquate. Salesforce.com, seems cumbersome to use and no true commission payment/tracking capabilities. Ebix, not sure it has it all or not, doesn't appear user friendly. I'm settling into the GBS program as the most affordable and functional, with their Agency program.

Any thoughts? I'm about to make a purchase and could use feedback.

probally because there is a technology forum and a technology and software forum on this site...

What type of agency are you starting? Life and health is a completely different beast from P&C which is different from commercial, etc.

There have been discussions about agency management software on here several times.

What features are you looking for?

I have Applied TAM... At a little over $1,100 a month for 6 licenses since they just went up a little more I am considering AMS...but only if they will give me a guarantee on the rate fo 3 years.

One small bit of advice do your research because converting over is a nightmare. I would have never gotten applied myself. The hot little thing that was the sales rep convinced my former boss who I purchased the agency from that it was the best thing since sliced bread. It does quite a bit but the price if F____G crazy...

I've been researching for the company I work for.
I used Applied TAM for 5 years, which I do like, but, I never had to pay for. :)
Hawksoft is a really nice software, I got a lot of reviews from that and great recommendations. I'd use it.
We just looked at AMS 300.
There was also Partner SIS & they're layout was just like outlook, which I personally didn't like as much.

I found an agency software that is really simple, user friendly and I'd buy this if it was up to me. it's VERY reasonable. .agencysoftware.com. I've been working with Dave D.

Applied had the Large$t startup/set up costs.
most people i've interviewed say stay away from the 'giants'; applied & ams.

that's my feedback. i'm new here too.:GEEK:
Good luck.
