Americo Bad Reviews

So I just sold 2 applications last night to husband and wife.
They emailed me today wanting to withdraw their applications because of the BBB reviews of Americo online.

Ive had this happen in the past also.

Anyone else ever have this happen? Its only been Americo for me.

Think Im going to stop selling Americo!! ugh!

Im sure though if they looked up any other companies online they are going to find bad reviews of them also,,,,eh what can you do.....

Ive never had that happen, but Americo is starting to suck!!! Got an app sitting there since last Wed & today for the 3rd day in a row they said "itll be within 2-3 days of having all requirements in", which has been in since last Fri (they needed the Bene relationship).

Had an app similar to that above about 1-2 mos ago with them that needed some kinda small requirement....I got that in to them the next day. That app sat there for 8 more days waiting to be approved, finally after 4 ph calls they finally looked at it.

Im finding less & less use for them!

Wait, u had FE clients with the internet & they knew how to use it?

Why did you choose Americo with the line up of carriers you have?

It's not Americo (or any other insurance company). YOU are making a big error of omission. Your prospect doesn't know any better, so they think BBB is gospel.

At the time of application, did you explain to them that ______ insurance company is regulated by the (State) department of insurance? Did you give them the toll-free number and/or website (they DID email you) to check them out if they desired?

Almost ALL insurance companies have bad reviews somewhere.

I would just pitch another company.

They are smokers, so competitive to what i have. Although I just got settlers, are they competitive for smokers?
But one main reason is the lead was a EFES lead so I had to use one of their carriers, and out of those americo smoker was way to go.

I would just pitch another company.

You can also take it in another direction.

Once a company hits a certain size they're bound to have complaints.

It's an excuse to not have to pay for Life Insurance! That's all it is so don't think in to it too deeply!

Oh I'm not, I know it's an excuse, just crazy it's happened before and only when I sell americo,,,,,think I won't be selling them anymore, HA!

I've had my fill with them...cut comp if the PI has had a policy within the last 4 years...they actually sent another agent one of my cases because the lady didn't take a policy out with them 5 months ago...and the other agent was the original writer (she just didn't like the guy). I've got a chargeback comung my way, so 1 more app and I'm done with them.
