Any agents using Ring Central?

Hi, I'm a newer agent and have had so many challenges trying to get VoIP set up. 2 weeks wasted with Intermedia because their system isn't compatible with my Comcast router.

So I ended up going with Ring Central and was able to set it up by myself. However, no one at the company can seem to help me in how to make that 3-WAY PHONE CALL, keeping the client on the phone while you call the Insurance company's UW, then disconnect with them to get back to the client after approved.

I have the Polycom VVX 150 VoIP phone.

I would also like to know how to do the same when using the laptop app for calling.

If anyone has this information on how to make a 3-way call, I would so much appreciate it. So very very much.

I've used them for 10+ years.

I only use them via my laptop (softphone) so I can tell you how to do it that way:

Dial the number of your first party. From the dialpad, press "+" (add). Dial second number. Press the green (+ ADD) button at the bottom. That merges the calls together.

To hang up on one and keep the other connected, click the icon at the top of whoever you want to disconnect.

Hope that helps.

Thank you so much. It works from the laptop and I just need to get calling so I can figure out how to use the phone later. Going independent is very challenging after working for a telesales company that did all this for me. But I'm confident I'll be able to provide better coverage and options since I won't be tied to just one company. Again ...THANK YOU!!!!

How is RingCentral?

Ok to use, stay away, could be better, etc.?

My main concern is the call quality as VoIP is not a landline and the tech is not 100% yet (in my opinion).

RingCentral has so many bad reviews online.

So do many other VoIP providers like Nextiva, GoToConnect (formerly Jive), etc.

I'm considering RingCentral and DialPad.

The bad reviews for all the VoIP providers makes it difficult to make a decision.

It's pretty close to 100% unless you have slow/intermittent internet. Get a good headset as well.

As I mentioned, I'm 10 years in w/ Ringcentral so I've been a happy customer.
