I have a website now, but it was one I created and is being hosted by agentmethods.com It's very basic but decent.

I know tons of baby boomers and their kids in my area are probably searching for the most popular Med Advantage plans when they are aging in, or at the very least searching for popular carriers such as Blue Cross, Humana etc.

I need a site that will cause the google searches to make my site show at or near the top, while looking professional as well (we also have high net worth annuity and UL clients). Anyone here know of anyone that specializes in creating such a site? I know nothing about SEO but from what I've read may be what is needed (pay per click?)

"I need a site that will cause the google searches to make my site show at or near the top"

Normally, I give my "$129 per month- guaranteed Page 7" spiel, but I'll table it for now.

What you are asking for is not impossible, but nobody can guarantee it for any price. You're like me about seven years ago. Here's my advice:

Teach yourself. Listen to experts that will guide you. Read a lot online. There are plenty of people that will offer great tips. Do this for a year. I have a writing background. If you don't, start practicing.

Then hire someone (I can throw out a nice resource) to build a site.

I have learned an incredible amount of SEO-related stuff from people on this Board.

Sam. Val. Dave. Mark. Others. Oh yea. Stay out of Indy Health.

There are a number of folks that can do it. With local SEO traffic you're generally going to be able to do well if you write original content and do some basic tagging correctly. I agree 100% with what Chumps said.

I doubt very much that the issue is or will be with your current website. the first step in any SEO campaign is making sure you're on page optimization is up to snuff. these are some basic things such as site speed, making sure your website is as fast as it can possibly be. correctly using header tags, internal linking, keyword density, etc etc.

and once you have your bases covered for on page seo, then you can think about link building or what they call off page Seo.

you will be doing yourself a huge favor by learning the basics of search engine optimization. unless you have a friend or colleague who can recommend somebody trustworthy, you will end up flushing some greenbacks down the drain before you give up or find somebody who knows what they're doing.

since you say you want to go after some local terms, will may find that doing a combination of local seo, ppc on local terms, and state wide terms seo campaign, will get you the leads you need without waiting 1 to 3 months before some long tail traffic comes in from just writing blog posts.

exactly. most Internet marketers who can get on page 1 for decent terms, can get you ranking for pretty much any term you want, it will just take time and money. this is why marketers who offer SEO services, charge by the hour or will do X amount of work per month for a flat fee ( package pricing).

You should learn the rank the website you have now or I can foresee a lot of time and money being spent only to end up in the same situation with a different hosting service.

The point is a nice looking site does not mean you will rank well. As much as I don't really like the look and feel of the agentmethods websites, you not ranking is most definitely not their fault. Now if your issue is with the way the site looks and feels then you should switch your website provider just keep in mind rankings are completely separate.

Drop me an email and let's set up a time to talk (aaron@agentmethods.com). I'd be happy to give you a few quick SEO tips you can put in place with your AgentMethods site that will help improve your rankings.

People made it happen for me; so I am sure they can succeed for you.

First off, pay-per-click is totally non cost effective. Clicks can cost from $10 to $25 apiece, and it may require up to 100 clicks to get 1 to 2 leads.

I can tell you what your options are, but I have to write 20 posts before I can contact you (unless you're an administrator). I'm new to the forum.

I've been doing Internet marketing/advertising for 17 years, and I also sell live transfer insurance leads.
