Best Route Planner

If you use an ipad Sales Navigator is real nice. It plots every lead you have on map with the option to add notes for each one and give it any designation you like. I use open (green), pending (yellow) and lost (red). In addition to mapping capabilities I can bring up leads anywhere I am and see if there is someone I haven't talked to before or maybe need to follow up with. It helps when you're far from home and you get stiffed on an appointment and have time to kill.

I have the new version of Streets & Trips and it is good but I liked the old version better. If you deleted a address off your route it left a marker on the map so you could see it.

I like to use MapQuest, they have a route planner that I can send to my phone and use the MapQuest GPS to get me where I need. It is all free.

gmaps.kaeding.name

This is a small site where you can input street number, name, city, state, zip in rows and it will plot them all on a map.

Hover over each plot and it will tell you which address it is.

Print out the map and write the number of each address next to the plot.

This makes it much easier to plan one's route, and makes the GPS more efficient as well.

I put all my lead addresses in an excel spreadsheet, then copy the address portion and paste into gmaps.kaeding.name for plotting and determining my route.

Its a free site, so if it works, send the guy a few bucks.

The problem that I find with my version of Streets & Trips is that is wont print out the rout after I optimize it. Unless a late version does it, I don't recommend buying it. There are a number of free ones on the net that are just as good for that application.
