Best Way to Start Cold Calling FE?

I've got a pretty good base of Med supp clients and I'm learning FE to go along with this.
What is the best way to get started with FE cold calling?
buying a list or mailers, or a combo?

I'm already appointed with some carriers and have the ability to do phone apps, just need to get some momentum going.
 
My experience is that you get what you pay for. I have never had any personal luck with cold calling or "B" leads. I purchase fresh mailing list weekly and do my own direct mail. I send out 2000 cards per week and get about 20-30 back on average...sometimes 20, sometimes 25, sometimes 30...this gives me enough people to talk to each week and write about 3-4k in AP.

So to answer your question, I would say direct mail leads are great resource for getting Final Expense business.
 
I will definitely make use of the existing client base.
Any suggestions on direct mail companies? Doing it yourself, do you just purchase the postcards and lists and then do it yourself? Sounds like a great idea.

I agree. It is actually fun to sell to people who are responding because they are interested.

What a load of crap. Those people don't have a clue what they are mailing back. They think it's something for free.

M&M nailed it. Start with your warm market. If you do not talk to those MedSup clients send me your list and I will send you a starbucks card for each quote that I do.

When I start selling MedSups I am calling my current clients first. Both of them.

I'll do it for a fifth of jack....Starbucks just isn't enough in this industry these days. :goofy:
 
What's is postage costing you? and the printing of 2,000 mailers?
