BNI or BN-not?

It's an Investment in time money & you must give to receive
The group can not be small and check the roster ; review the number of referrals , visitors before joining .

BNI was instrumental to my business when I started 10 yrs ago. Part of a great group, and i stayed for 3 years before moving to different state. Made 30k a year due to the referrals. The Health agent before me made nothing. It's all up to you and what you make of it. 7 years later, not only do I still have a dozen clients from BNI, but also STILL get referrals from them. Still have friends for life from the group.

Don't join a new group.
Minimum 20 members to consider.
Find one with natural referral network built in like c.p.a, advisors, p & c agent, realtors, etc.
Has to have a good chapter leader.
Avoid those filled with M.L.M businesses.
Have a different commercial each week.
Make them humorous.
We made it a point to have fun.
It was my favorite hour of the week.

The worst referrals I have ever received have come from BNI. If you have that much time to waist, you might not be the top tier that I look for. Referral 1. Bookkeeper- She did not like to work.
2. Landscaper- so bad, we both agreed I would not pay for the really really bad work-ish.
3. Business cards...never got it correct!
I look for those who are too busy to make a BNI group.
