I have never done this before. I need to do Broker of Record change for couple of my clients (Anthem). Is it the same process as in P&C? Just a one page form to fill out? Please help.

Agent of record has to agree to release the client to you and you need a letter from that agent to Anthem with the client and policy numbers listed indicating that the agent agrees to release the clients to you, specifically. You cannot BOR IFP clients with Anthem in CA unless the agent of record agrees to release them.

I have an agreement with this other agent and he knows I will be taking the clients away. SO the only way is to get that agent to write a letter for each client?

Agent can write one letter with a list of the clients and their ID numbers on the letter. It used to have to be notarized by the losing agent but they don't require the notarized signature anymore.
