Can I export my Sunfire client records?

Is it still slow as hell ? I'd have switch to that years ago if there interface was nicer and it was fast
It's still slow, yes.
But it's faster than asking for their Rx's again.

Ive heard the provider lookup is immensely slow

It's a program where you enter their Rx list and it saves it. This way you remember that John takes Furosemide.

Also can do provider search (I have not used that feature much yet).
Thanks for the pointer. Had no idea it existed. Is it worth $35/month? Can I save unlimited drug lists by client name?

Provider look up issue has been resolved. Much faster than last Fall.
Good to know! I'll probably try it again. May even try the PURLs now that they're included.

I just saw HealthSherpa is using the same "provider database" as S&S -- so I'd imagine it's a good database to use.

My problem with the provider lookup tool is I still have in my mind this (perhaps unnecessary) fear that the only place for accuracy is the carrier website.

I use Medicare Pro and let the client/prospect list his own drugs.

I send an email or text with a form link. They list all their info including drs, drugs, etc and it populates into MP.

With MP, I don't chase after scripts and all of their info populates into Sunfire when I run a quote.

As for Sherpa, I looked at it but wasn't impressed. They still don't have enough carriers.

I have the exact same process with Spark but they don't call it Medicare Pro. Maybe they just rebranded it, I don't know, but it sure is sweet!

I send the same form out to existing clients every Sept telling them to update their info (Rx and Drs) for AEP. About 20% bother to do it.

I dropped S&S last year when it became redundant for me.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe they have two sources for the doctors. I could be wrong there though. I feel like Scott told me that one time when I spoke with him.

The only downside is when you use the Provider Filter (not the provider search), if a plan has none of the doctors listed in the filter, then that plan doesn't appear on the list. The issue with that is, if you have any local or regional plans whose directory isn't in the database, those plans won't show up. I've had several times where a local plan is the lowest cost on the medications and all of the doctors are actually in the network. Because of this, I either have to run a cost summary before entering doctors to get a breakdown of the medication cost or I just have to use the provider search. Even then I still have to look up the doctors on that plans site since they are in the database of the system that S&S uses.

I talked with Scott about this and asked if there was a way to still list those plans with zero doctors and he said that it can't be programmed that way. Said it's not possible. Is what it is, but the S&S system is better than anything else I've used for quote comparisons.

As for the PURL, they've improved it, but you are still dependent on people to follow instructions. I occasionally have clients who will enter the wrong medication. But if they can do the lions share of the work, that helps save time in the long run.
