There are a few but I find with FE if your carrier wants a policy receipt mailed back it can turn into a huge pain in the arse. Soooo, Im not gonna write any carrier that has this as a rule.

Had a run in with one just now. Customer sends it in and then they send me an email bitching about how it does not match the one on the application. I call the customer, yep, he signed the policy receipt just like I asked him after I got a reminder mailed to me that they had not received it. I witnessed the application being signed but not the policy receipt obviously.

So now they want me to get another one signed, which I will and get a copy of his drivers license...which I will, but I wont be sending them one more damn app, they can kiss off. Im not busting my rump, spending my money, working my leads like a dog to have to bow down to some red tape corporate stuffed suit hell hole that makes it 10 x harder to do business with than their competitor, piss off!

How do you really feel? Don't hold back so much.

Which company?...........

BTW, I have had the same issue. Not often but it happens. I have all policies mailed to me and request a delivery receipt from every one. If the company does not provide one we print our own. Some companies do not pay till you get one. Gerber is about to cancel a policy were the insured will not get it back to us. Irritating.

I understand how you feel. And for FE I can see how it can be irritating. However I look at it as a CYA there can be no complaining down the road that the policy was not recieved and as such the free look period never started. In my case the annuities are large enough to justify personally delivering them though there are times when I can not personally deliver and it is annoying when the customer goes MIA for a week or so without sending the reciept back.

You have a great nose.

I do have to say I hate when these things happen. My case its not normally a delivery reciept but a withdrawal from their retirement account and has already passed the TPAs approval but the carrier says the signature does not match which can bump thing back a week or more on top of the carriers 2 week to a month timeframe all the while the customer is without their money.

The delivery receipt is a part of the contract ? If not, they can't cancel because a client doesn't send it back.

If we are talking the policy was not issued as applied and has to have an acceptation agreement signed that is a different.

Every company has a business prevention dept. Some are just far more active than others.
