I have several clients who take chlordiazepoxide/clidinium and I can never figure out if it is covered by any PDP's. It seems it is high priced and I can't find it on Medicare.gov. I can find it with hcl or amitriptyline behind it but never clidinium. Anyone else run into this?

A DESI (drug efficacy study implementation) drug is one that the FDA has determined to be safe, but not effective. Here are some examples of DESI drugs that are not covered by any Medicare Part D plan:

Alcortin gel
Amidrine capsule
Analpram HC 2.5% cream
APAP-Isomethep-Dichlphen cap
Belladonna/Phenobarb tablet
Bellaspas tablet
Clidinium/CDP capsule

Bob, you're truly the Master of Research on the Forum!!! I have no idea how you find some of this stuff. It's much appreciated...keep it coming.

Thanks Tom. Part experience, part dumb luck. My research skills pale compared to AllenChicago.
