Clarification As to Hierarchy Levels with UHC AARP

Okay, so I have some confusion about the hierarchy with United Healthcare AARP. It is my understanding that there are currently 5 levels with AARP: FMO, SGA, MGA, Agent and Solicitor. It is also my understanding that there are production requirements for each level. Are these production requirements from United Healthcare or are they production requirements from the top level FMO? It has always been my understanding that the only production requirements were the 5 applications that were necessary to be "Authorized to offer" the products but I have been hearing a lot of different things from different people. United Healthcare tells me that the production requirements are from the FMO's and then FMO's are telling me they are production requirements directly from UHC. Which is it? I'd greatly appreciate an accurate answer to this question from someone who knows with 100% certainty. Thanks so much!

There is only 3 levels now. fmo sga and an agent.
I don't know the numbers for the fmo however,
the sga must have 5 writing agents under them and the "team" must write a total of 500 mapd apps each year in order for you to get the override which is about 85 bucks each person on your team writes.

Are you talking MA products or everything? MA has rules dictated from on high.

I was told as of January 1st 2012 that the 5 levels have been pushed down into 3 but then again who the hell knows.

But the question is whether or not these production requirements are actual UHC requirements or requirements that the FMO's came up with?

If these are UHC requirements then how come UHC does not have them in writing?

My guess is that is coming from the FMO channel but if I ever get the time want to check myself. I am an MGA and can appoint an agent as agent or solicitor at my discretion.

I found a letter from UHC dated July 26, 2011. It's an amendment to an FMO agreement.

It shows 5 levels:

FMO
SGA
MGA
GA
Agent

It also shows initial year commissions and renewal year commissions for each level. It has sections for Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement.

Anyone else have this and know if it is accurate?

I have been told that they are getting rid of the GA level. Being appointed as agent vs solicitor has to do with whether or not commissions are assigned.
