Cold Call Tracking Sheet

Spend 3 to 4 hours making calls each day and you won't have to worry about tracking anything. I'm not saying don't track your numbers (I do), I'm saying don't make it into a science, it's wasted effort and time.

I'm not saying don't track your numbers (I do), I'm saying don't make it into a science, it's wasted effort and time.

I could not possibly disagree with you more. Tracking numbers is a science and it's a very helpful one at that.

Tracking numbers isn't a science.

It's mathematics.

"I made a call. Let's +1 to calls. I reached someone. Let's add +1 to reaches."

It's not that hard.

At the end of the day: "Let's see, I made x calls today, reached y people and set z appointments."

What do your numbers tell you? Those were your results and scores for the day.

Now, if you make it into a "science" to try to manipulate your numbers to be better by "finding the perfect script"... you'll end up spending too much time and wasting your effort.

Plus, you may end up with unqualified prospects that won't buy and take up more time, rather than just accepting the 'no'.

"What was the ratio of calls to reaches? How can I improve that? What was my ratio of reaches to appointments set? Gee, I only got 1 out of 10... maybe I'm saying something wrong... better go back to writing out the perfect script so I can get rejected less... if I only had a perfect script..."

Your results are your results. Our job as agents is to keep adding to our score cards every day. Some days, it's ZERO. Other days, you'll get almost everyone. But you have to "suit up" and play the game everyday.
