Looking for a good script to use when calling current clients that we already have in our book of business to sell life. Also what to say when people call in to make a payment, policy change, ask a question etc.

it shows in our records you have died......so I take it thats not the case and will up date our records......that was a close one....btw....do you have life insurance.......

You: "Hi, I'm calling our current State Farm policyholders today. With that said, how has your butt been feeling lately?"

Client: "Ummmm....Why are you asking about my butt?!?"

You: "Well, it says here you have a total of 3 insurance policies through us here at State Farm......Surely that's gotta be burning your A$* !!!!!" :D:D:D

Hi, mr. Client, this is mr. agent calling you here from my office in insuranceville, usa. The reason I'm calling today is two fold: 1) to thank you for your business; and 2) to let you know that while I enjoy taking care of your auto/home/business insurance, what I truly enjoy is presenting mortagage protection and supplemental retirement programs, because I find that 96% of all families fall short in these important areas. Which would you says is more important to you, your mortgage protection or your retirement savings?

Then have a conversation about what's important to him.

You're asking a bit of a complicated question here.

Of the p&c agents that I know that are at least somewhat successful selling life insurance, they're offering it at the time of sale when they're getting new clients. The other thing that they'll do is actually hand the clients a quote when they come into the office for any policy changes and ask for the business.

If you're going to call through your book, using something as simple as "I'm calling you today because we offer life insurance that could cover 100% of the cost of your mortgage if something should happen to you and if you're in reasonably good health it would only cost $XX/month, is that something you would be interested in?"

The reality is that most folks aren't going to want life insurance and that's just part of the game, if your goal is to sell more life insurance you may want to consider a specific marketing plan just to get life insurance customers.

This would work for the OP question-

"Thank you for your call/visit/payment today. Our office also offers Life, Health, and Annuity in additon to our P&C. Would you like to schedule a time to speak with someone?"

The alternative is to call the entire book with a specific campaign.
