Competing agent committing fraud?

Hi guys!

new user here. I recently joined an independent brokerage as a producer.

I have a large referral network established but I've been running into a problem recently.

every time I quote a customer there's a competing agent who's quoting the same customer but giving a price 50 to 100 bucks cheaper.

I'm verifying everything on the app is correct with the customer and writing the same limits. So what could be causing this?

could the other agent be lying on the application? If so what should I do?

Are you comparing apples to oranges? Are you quoting whole life and he's quoting term?

Although not $100 cheaper...
Not captive. Another Indy and both quoting with progressive. The customer had a provisionals license but I think he listed her as being licensed 3 years or more. That's just a guess. Or he screwed with the purchase date.

Same company. Progressive.
Progressive allows, and might I say by the way the quoting system is setup even incentivizes, quoting a risk without running MVR's. I've always found it unethical scammy, but there it is. That's the first issue that comes to mind, but there are many other problems with Progressive that other people can chime in about.
