Crum & Forster / USF

united states fire insurance company has been in KS since Jan 2020 according to the ins commissioner website.

In my zip they have the lowest attained age HDG premium (out of half a dozen or so) and the 3rd lowest Plan G premium of 54 attained age carriers.

Notes indicate they also have a household discount, but whether it is a one or two policy one is unknown.

So one possibility would be they are working hard on low price?

USP = unique selling proposition

Examples - we take anyone who can fog a mirror, 30% HH discount no questions asked, 28% level commission for life, $800 per app bonus no minimum production, we promise to beat any offer from any carrier

USF formerly USF&G has not AFAIK ever been in the Medicare business. What could possibly go wrong here?

They offer a complete suite of Medicare Supplement plans including the game-changing Plan L, for customers considering cost effective alternatives to Medicare Advantage and who may have a Health Savings Account. Currently, there's only a handful of carriers offering the Plan L option

United States Fire Insurance

They don't have a clue what they're talking about. In Illinois, both N and G are less than L.

Edit -----

The 2020 Medicare Plan battle for T65's with HSA's:

United States Fire Insurance Company with Medicare Supplement Plan L, a cost effective alternative to Medicare Advantage.

Lasso MSA, a Medicare Advantage plan that gives you money to add to your savings for medical expenses.

In KS I see some very aggressive pricing at the T65 level which I think comes in lower than most G and N plans for the same age.

However, they also sell an HDG in KS and their own HDG pricing is lower than their L pricing. The thing I don't understand is how a carrier, or an FMO representing the carrier, can seriously say to an agent: "Our higher priced Plan L is better for you to present as a Medicare Advantage alternative than our lower priced Plan HDG."

Zip 66221
Plan L $970.14
Plan HDG $591.26
(Both United States Fire Ins prices)

Makes no sense to me.
